Dr. Jennifer Crossland is a clinical psychologist. She received her Bachelor of Arts from Baylor University in Waco, Texas. Dr. Crossland completed her Master of Science in rehabilitation counseling psychology and subsequently her doctorate in clinical psychology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas. She completed her post-doctoral training fellowship at Children’s Hospital of Boston at Harvard Medical School. During this fellowship, Dr. Crossland specialized in evaluation and treatment of children with developmental disabilities and working with young children with mental health concerns. Subsequently, she worked in a therapeutic preschool program for children on the autism spectrum at Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston, Texas. Dr. Crossland then started her private practice in Westchester County, New York prior to relocating to California. Dr. Crossland’s practice consisted of providing supportive play therapy and floor time therapy for young children and children on the autism spectrum as well as cognitive behavioral therapy for children and adolescents struggling with depression and anxiety. In addition, she completed initial diagnostic evaluations for children on the autism spectrum and psychological evaluations for children and adolescents to assist with treatment and educational planning. Dr. Crossland was on faculty at New York Medical College at Westchester Medical Center where she taught seminars to psychiatry fellows and presented at disabilities conferences. Dr. Crossland moved to California ten years ago. She has provided parent education workshops and groups at LOPC. Dr. Crossland has also provided school consultation and advocacy at various schools in the East Bay and worked with children, adolescents and adults with anxiety, depression as well as children on the autism spectrum. Currently her private practice consists of working with children, teens and young adults on the autism spectrum in floor time, cognitive behavioral therapy and behavioral consultation with parents. Dr. Crossland also offers parenting support and cognitive behavioral therapy for children and teens struggling with anxiety and depression. She is delighted to begin working with you and your family.
